Hello Light Tier friends!

I've missed you! After a long summer of health problems, hospitalizations, surgery and complications, I'm very grateful to be back in my studio a bit, uncapping my favorite colors and cracking open my sketchbooks.

I cannot wait to paint together. Our next live class is Saturday, September 20 at 12pm PST.

  • Since we missed our class in June,* I am planning to extend this class as a make-up for June. I plan to stay on until 1:45 or 2.
  • We will be combining the color work from this month's theme with the sketching practice I taught back in June and had planned to show you during our June class.
  • I hope you're able to come paint with us. For access, make sure you're on the Light Tier, and then just follow the Google Meet link below on the day of class. I'm excited to see you!

I'm so grateful to well enough to be reacquainting myself with my art supplies and painting with friends again. I've missed our time together. My plan is to walk you through exploring a core color palette and then to use those colors in an exercise I revisit about once a year, where I paint on a large piece of paper and then deconstruct it into smaller pieces. I always learn a lot and end up with some cool art. If you want to paint along, bring whatever supplies you have along with your biggest paper. Paints work great, but markers, colored pencils all that are great too. Ideally, having multiple different kinds of art supplies will bring a lot of energy to the process. :)

What to expect: I would be so happy if you painted along with me, but everything's optional - painting, having your camera/mic on, etc. Each month I will share a bit more about how I use the main practice for the month and demonstrate some ideas to try, while keeping it open for conversation and questions with a relaxed feel.

You're invited to come 10 min early to say hi and get set up, and then we'll start the class right on time.
