Instagram: Numbers & Boundaries

In my process of preparing for this month's first post, I ended up writing my history with Instagram and growing my account as my practice evolved into a business, making note of the ideas that have helped me along the way. While it isn't a direct answer to JC's question, I thought I'd go ahead and include it all here since this is the kind of information I had a hard time finding when I was starting out.

I started sharing my art on Instagram in June 2017. I was a year or so into an increasingly regular doodling practice. I was drawing with alcohol markers and pens and adding dimension with watercolor. Most of what I was making didn't feel "ready" to share, but I had started making my little diagrams and sending them to friends, and some of them encouraged me to put it online. So that's what I did - once a week, on Wednesdays, for the next couple of years I made and shared one new diagram that reflected something I was thinking about.
